M/F differ, notably a darker crown for M and paler overall for F.
SS in ebird are nigrideus, migratorius, and San Lucas. Nigrideus has "mantle blackish, breast deep rufous, throat streaks thick and coalescent". Sibley 2nd denotes a pale/nominate/dark distinction instead which may be more relatable.
