Monotypic. Plumage varies, as eclipse male can look femae adjacent. M/F differ, with male much more ornate. Interestingly, BOW notes that female MADU are very similar to female WODU. The thought did occur when I saw the female MADU in the field (with bolder eye markings being one difference).
