Monotypic. Plumage varies, as eclipse male can look female adjacent. M/F differ, with male much more ornate in breeding plumage. Interestingly, BOW notes that female MADU are very similar to female WODU. The thought did occur when I saw the female MADU in the field (with bolder eye markings in WODU being one difference).
