2ISSF, northern/southern populations. Plumage varies, breeding (MAR-AUG) and non-breeding (SEP-FEB). Female is similar in both plumages; male in breeding tends to acquire black around head/neck while non-breeding is more olive brown in head/neck. M/F differ, with male more black-white patterned and female more brown-tan.
