0ISSF. Plumage varies, as males molt into a dull eclipse plumage which is "atypical of Neotropical passerines" per BOW. M/F differ, with male a "brilliant blue with a turquoise head, black bill and eye mask, black wings, back, and tail, and the eponymous red legs" per BOW while female is pale green throughout with duller legs.
